ABOUT HADGKISS HUGHES & BEALE
Hadgkiss Hughes & Beale are one of the oldest established high street practices in Birmingham with offices in Acocks Green and Moseley. We were established by the late William Hadgkiss just after the First World War.
Over the last thirty years there have been a number of mergers and acquisitions of other practices which has strengthened our ability to serve the local community. These include:
- Clayton & Co in 1981
- Garsia & Co and Morgan Lugsdin & Haskins in 1988
- Scadding Jessop in 1994 parts of this practice dated back to the mid 1800s
- Ricard Morpuss & Co in 1997
- Barnett & Co in 1999
- Paul Tobias and Mann & Co in 2001
- J. Y. Holt & Sellars in 2005
The firm has built up a very wide, and loyal, client base and is still a traditional General High Street Practice serving individuals and small businesses / companies.
The Litigation Practice is largely based on Crime and Family Law and we hold Legal Aid franchises to provide publicly funded advice in these areas. The non-contentious side of the practice deals with Commercial and Residential Property, Probate, Wills & Trusts and Leasehold Enfranchisement.
We currently have seven Partners, nine other Solicitors / Consultants and four Legal Executives / Licensed Conveyancers. Many of our staff have been qualified solicitors for over 30 years each and bring a massive amount of experience to the practice. They are supported by very loyal staff, many of whom have been with the firm for many years.
