FAMILY LAW AT HADGKISS HUGHES & BEALE
Hadgkiss Hughes and Beale has had a dedicated Family Law Department for many years and prides itself upon being able to provide advice and representation for clients in respect of a wide range of family issues including:
- Divorce Proceedings
- Financial Claims Ancillary to Divorce
- Private Law Proceedings Relating to Children including Residence and Contact and Parental Responsibility
- Care Proceedings
- Domestic Violence Issues including Non-molestation and Occupation Orders
- Separation Agreements
The Department has been strengthened over the years by a number of mergers with local practices who already had their own established Family Law Departments.
THE FAMILY TEAM COMPRISES THE FOLLOWING:
1. COLIN CATTELL
A Partner with Hadgkiss Hughes and Beale and Head of the Family Department. He is based at our Acocks Green office and is a member of the Family Law Panel. He has vast experience of dealing with all aspects of family law.
2. GORDON KEIR
A Partner who is based at our Moseley office. He is also a member of the Family Law Panel and again has many years experience of dealing with all aspects of family law.
3. HILARY BARNETT
Is based at our Moseley office, she is an Advanced Member of the Family Law Panel and practices exclusively in family law. She has vast experience in dealing with all manner of family issues.
4. REBECCA COLTART
Is also based at our Moseley Office and has practised exclusively in family law since being admitted as a Solicitor in 2006.
All of the team have many years experience of appearing in County Courts and Family Proceedings Courts in respect of family matters. They work as a team and are able to provide support and assistance for each other.
Since 1999 the Practice has had the benefit of a Family Law Franchise granted by the Legal Services Commission and is therefore able to offer public funding for those clients who meet the appropriate criteria.
The Department recognises how distressing a dispute can be between parties, whether it relates to their own relationship or, involving their children and whilst at all times providing a professional and expert advice, always recognises the need to do so in a sympathetic and understanding manner.
